About Us
Play-based learning is a philosophy that is child-led and open-ended, to help support a child's learning and development through hands-on active experiences.
They learn at their own pace as the focus is on their process. They grasp concepts more easily when they are interesting and relevant. When they choose an activity they like, they learn to enjoy learning, regulate their emotions, and encourage independence.
Outdoor play helps children develop core strength, coordination, balance, and muscle control through activities such as climbing, swinging, balancing and scootering. These experiences also support the development of proprioception - a child's awareness of their body and movement in space - which is essential for confidence, physical development, and everyday learning.

The ethos of our preschool is inspired by research highlighting the positive impact of outdoor play on children's behaviour, learning, and overall well-being. By providing children with safe, meaningful opportunities to explore and play freely outdoors, we support their holistic development and nurturing a lifelong connection with nature.
